Thursday's Thought

1 Peter 3:12

 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

Good morning, family and friends!

God is good ALL the time - on rainy days and sunny days; during winter, spring, summer, fall; when we are sick and when we are well. He's good ALL the time. And, He is aware of where we are and what we are going through. He loves to hear us pray and His ears are open to our prayers. He's a GOOD LISTENER - ALL THE TIME!

Yesterday, before 10:00 AM, I believe I received 2-3 texts asking me to pray for someone with a special need. Then, in the afternoon, I was sent another text with a request for a friend who had suffered a heart attack. Before bedtime, yet another need for someone was made known. We can fret when we are faced with uncertain circumstances or serious illnesses, or we can pray. It's a wonderful blessing to know that you have friends you can call on when you need them to pray for you, and it's also a blessing to know that friends depend on you to pray for them in their times of need.

Prayer is one of the most vital aspects of the Christian life. A deep relationship with Jesus Christ involves being close to Him, and that is developed through daily prayer. The enemy wants us to stay so busy and distracted that we have no time to pray, but we must take time to communicate with God. He is the only One who can strengthen, deliver, and heal us. It is through prayer that we come to know Him and love Him more deeply. O, let us pray!

Prayer will keep us going through all of life's challenges. Keep praying to a God who always listens, and keep believing in a God who will answer our prayers in His time and in His way.
