Psalm 34:7
The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
Good morning, and a Special Sunday to you all!
Well, this is our last Sunday of November and all I can say is that time sure is passing swiftly! As I was pondering what to write about today as there is much to be thankful for, I decided to write about God's blessing of protection. The verse from Psalm 34 has been a favorite one of mine for quite some time now. God is watching over us, and for this I am most grateful.
Each time we get in our car to go somewhere, we do our best to pray for protection. Whenever we are taking long trips whether by car, motor home, or plane, we ask the Lord to watch over us, and take us to our destination safely. Upon arrival, I often breathe a heartfelt, "Thank You, Lord, for a safe trip."
There are many Bible stories of how God watched over His people, and many stories have been shared during my life time relating to God's hand of protection. We truly need the shelter of His arms in today's disturbing times.
A sweet little song that I learned on the way to a summer camp many years ago comes to mind, and I just think I'll close today's blog post with it:
All night, all day
Angels watching over me, my Lord
All night, all day
Angels watching over me
Let's not take one trip without praying for protection. When we arrive safely, let's show God how grateful we are that He allowed us a safe journey.
God bless you all with a special and safe Sunday... and, as always, if He's willing, I'll see you again tomorrow with another spoonful!
