Wednesday's Whisper

Genesis 8:22

While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

Good morning, and a Wonderful Wednesday, everybody!
Don't you just love the four seasons that God created? I do, and that's what this blog post will be about today - I'm thankful for spring, summer, fall, and winter. Growing up in Chicago, IL, afforded me the privilege of seeing four distinct seasons. Although our winters could be quite bitter, the snow was amazing. The springtime awakened nature (and humans) to grow again and bloom. We enjoyed hot summers that bustled with activity, and then came the glorious colors of autumn.
God promised us the four seasons as long as the earth remains, and I plan to enjoy them as long as I remain upon this earth. Right now, I marvel at the display of colors as we travel; no two trees look the same. I know it's crazy, but I'm looking forward to seeing snow fall soon. But, like everybody else, I'll welcome the coming of spring when everything comes alive again. My least liked season is summer for I do detest the extreme heat, yet God created everything according to His plan and His purpose.
I decided to find some quotes about the four seasons to share with you today:

The beautiful spring came; and when Nature resumes her loveliness, the human soul is apt to revive also.
- Harriet Ann Jacobs

In early June the world of leaf and blade and flowers explode, and every sunset is different.
- John Steinbeck

It looked like the world was covered in a cobbler crust of brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Sarah Addison Allen

Snow provokes responses that reach right back to childhood.
- Andy Goldsworthy

The spiritual seasons are much like the natural seasons, and God walks with us through them all. Whatever time you're in right now, whether a cold time where all seems still and lifeless; or a time of sweet growth; or walking in the heat of a battle; or enjoying God's picturesque beauty all around you - He is with you.
Let's try our best to enjoy the fall season we are in right now, as well as the spiritual season. Listen for God's whisper in each day. He cares. He loves us, and He truly makes all things beautiful in HIS time! (Ecclesiastes 3:11)
God bless you, one and all. Have a Wonderful Wednesday - be Wowed by THE WONDERFUL.... If He's willing, I'll be back tomorrow with another spoonful!
