Tuesday's Tidbit

Psalm 5:3

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

Psalm 55:17

Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.

Psalm 88:13

But unto thee have I cried, O Lord; and in the morning shall my prayer prevent thee.

Good morning, everybody!
Another day we've been given to live, move, have our being, and to pray. No day is complete without prayer. One saying I read years ago basically said that our day would be less likely to unravel if it was hemmed up in prayer. So true.
I sincerely believe that, not only do WE need to pray, but God enjoys hearing from us. He is, after all, a jealous God, wanting no other gods before Him in our lives. He regards us as the apple of HIS eye, so why not regard HIM as the apple of OUR eyes? He alone is worthy of all the honor and glory we can give Him.
I'm sure you all agree that we need the Lord - every day in every way. Mountains and valleys are yet to be crossed and we need His leadership in order to stay on course. News of family and friends being ill comes all too often these days. Many are yet unsaved and for those individuals we truly must pray.
The church here in Sulphur, LA has a flow of people coming by the church throughout each day to pray, and it is comforting to be among such people. Pray is our lifeline to the Lord. We talk to our family members and friends on a daily basis, why not the Lord?
This is a precious song, one that I've likely added to a previous post, but feel the need to include today:

I Can Pray
by Nathan Markee

Verse One

You say that I'm not able
I'm too young or I'm too old
And I can't sing or teach
And no title do I hold
Lord, what can I do
For I want to do my part
And I want to help the hurting
With all of my heart

Chorus

I can pray until the walls come down
Until there's healing all around
That's something I can do
I can pray in my secret place
Calling on Your name
That's something I can do
I can pray

Verse Two

My family shows no interest
My child has gone too far
Though I try my best to reach them
Their hearts just seem so hard
Lord, what can I do
To help bring them back to You
For my family's lost and dying
And my words don't get through

You may not be a preacher
You may not be a Sunday School teacher
You may not be able to sing
But, friend, there's something we all can do
(Chorus again)

God bless all of you as you take time to pray today! Hope to see you again tomorrow!
