Job 34:4
Let us choose to us judgment: let us know among ourselves what is good.
Good morning, family and friends!
Choices. Choices. More choices. Every day we are faced with a multitude of choices to make. What shall we wear? What shall we eat? What time do we need to go to a certain place? How many calories have we eaten, and how many are still left that we can eat?
More importantly than the clothes we decide to wear or the food we choose to eat, choices are made each day on a deeper level. How do we choose to live each day - for ourselves or for God? In the midst of life's battles, do we succumb to a spirit of discouragement, or do we choose to live victoriously? We may not be able to choose happiness, which is circumstantial, but we can choose to live joyfully, which is based upon Jesus. It's our choice; one we must make daily.
I love this song by Rodney Griffin, entitled so appropriately for today's spoonful, I Choose:
Verse One
Master, may I be so honest? Could I admit the way I feel?
I'm hurting. It seems that You've forsaken.
I wonder, is Your love for me still real?
Though my friends think I am happy, unaffected by this trial,
they can't see the pain I'm hiding just underneath my smile.
Master, I can't live this way anymore.
So, today, I make my choice.
Chorus
I choose to believe that You are faithful
And my heart is in Your hands
And this mystery that I face today is part of a greater plan.
I choose not to be discouraged when the sun will not break through.
I have the choice of trusting You. So, Lord, this is what I choose.
Verse Two
I know the road will not be easy. I know I'll have my weaker days.
And Satan will tell me I don't mean it when I say I'll trust God all the way.
But that really doesn't matter. I refuse to hear him out.
With my faith, I'll find the power that will overcome all doubt.
Lord, I've never felt so strong as when I'm resting in Your arms.
My prayer is that we will all make good, sound choices today, especially in matters of our hearts.
Until tomorrow, Lord willing..............
Today I will choose to be joyful, I will choose to live victoriously, I will choose to trust in God!! Thanks for the encouragement once again;)
