Matthew 7:7-8
7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Good morning, family and friends!
I'm thankful for the word of God, the Bible, as upon it I stand. John 1:1 declares, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." Heaven and earth may pass away, but not the Word! We can stand upon the word of God.
Today's verses bring to us hope and promise. If we ask, it will be given; if we seek, we will find; and if we knock, the door shall be opened to us. What blessed promises! What hope! God is aware of every inquiry from His children. His eyes are always upon the seekers, and not one knock upon Heaven's door ever goes unheard or unnoticed.
I am not asking God for anything for myself today but for a friend who needs a miracle, and He alone knows the heart of today's post better than any. When all is said and done, God alone is the One and only One who can (and I believe He will) give the physical miracle my friend needs!
I heard a song on the radio last night, right after I had returned home from a wonderful prayer meeting at our church. How very much like God to let that particular song play at just the right moment. I am sharing it with you today.....
When Nothing But a Miracle Will Do
by the McRaes
Verse One
When you've tried everything,
And everything you've tried has failed
When you're standing at the harbor
And the ship of hope has sailed;
Friends have no answers
And peace just can't be found
Oh, but there's a hand of mercy
That can turn it all around
Chorus
When nothing but a miracle will do
There's nothing that the hand of God
Cannot bring you through
I know He's more than able
And He will deliver you
When nothing but a miracle will do
Verse Two
When you cried out in the darkness
And no one seems to hear
Just because you can't see Him
Doesn't mean He isn't near
Perhaps He's only waiting
'Til you've done all you can do
Until He's the only thing that's left to hold onto
Verse Three
In your time of trials,
When you face the trial of doubt
Oh, just listen to a crowd of witnesses
You'll hear them crying out
From a lions' den, and a fiery furnace
From the belly of a whale
Through prison walls, at a hopeless turn
Walks a God who never fails
Ask Daniel and Jonah, Peter and Paul,
They're shouting with Lazarus,
He's living, after all
Believe with me today for my friend's miracle! Our God is awesome, and well able to do more than what we ask Him to do. Here's another one of my favorite verses that I've held onto more times than I can count:
Ephesians 3:20
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
There's a miracle in the making on this Terrific Tuesday. I feel it! I believe it!
Hope to see you again tomorrow!
