Psalm 145:14-19
14 The Lord upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down.
15 The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season.
16 Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.
17 The Lord is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.
18 The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.
19 He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.
Wow! It's Wonderful Wednesday once again.... Good morning, one and all!
The Lord is good all the time. Can somebody say, "Amen"? There is no God like our God; no Rock like our Rock. He reigns in majesty; He is truly awesome.
I opened my Bible and read several chapters this morning, but the verses that I chose for today from Psalm 145 stood out to me. I especially like verse 16 where it speaks of the Lord opening his hand! Have you ever received anything from the hand of the Lord? I have, and I am sure you have. Are we able to even comprehend or explain the size of the Lord's hand? It's bigger than the biggest. His hand is opened to me and you. We are His children and He is our God.
There are so many golden nuggets within the pages of the Bible. During any and every situation we face, we can search His Word and find help sufficient for the need. Whenever a child needs something and they ask of their parents, the parent then opens their hands to give it to the child. How much more does our Heavenly Father not only listen to our cries but He is ready and willing to open His hand to grant our desires.
David further wrote in Psalm 145:18 that, "The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth." He is as close to us as we want Him to be. Close, and He's listening, with an open hand to grant our petitions.
This song is on my heart and I feel it will put the final touches on today's post:
Bless His Holy Name

Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And all that is within me
Bless His holy name
He has done great things
He has done great things
He has done great things
