Psalm 77:12
I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings.
Good Morning - Marvelous Monday Morning!!
We are all facing a new work week ahead of us, in whatever field of labor that may be. Even though this Monday may find us facing a list of challenges, wouldn't it be great to just meditate on the goodness of God before we begin our other chores?
What does it mean to meditate? It means to "sit quietly and clear the mind or to be in deep thought". If we could take some quiet time today and clear our minds, yet fill them with the wonderful works of God, I believe it would make a difference in what type of day we have.
Perhaps we could just remember and reflect about our weekend. What happened in our church services? Did we sense and appreciate the presence of God in the sanctuary? Were there visitors who were reaching out for God? What did the minister preach about? How did it impact us?
Then, our Bible verse says that after meditating, we should talk of God's doings. It seems so easy to talk to someone about the weather or our many health issues, but why not search for someone to talk to about the wonderful works of God?
God is at work all around us, in us, and He can work through us if we just grant Him that privilege. Mondays need not be mundane or morose; surely this Monday can be marvelous, if we meditate on the might and majesty of our Master, the Lord Jesus Christ!
A sweet song just came to mind, one by Hillsong United, and I hope it will bless you.
When I think about the Lord
How He raised me; how He saved me
How He filled me with the Holy Ghost
How He healed me, to the uttermost
When I think about the Lord
How He picked me up and turned me around
How He placed my feet on solid ground
It makes me want to shout, Hallelujah,
Thank You, Jesus,
Lord, You're worthy of all the glory
All the honor; all the praise
Until tomorrow, Lord willing.......
