Ephesians 2:4-7
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
Good morning, one and all - Marvelous Monday!
The two services I attended yesterday were absolutely awesome, with the Holy Ghost flowing powerfully. What a privilege to enjoy the presence of God! What an honor to be redeemed by the blood of the Lamb!
In the evening service, the choir sang a beautiful song; one that reached way down to the core of my soul.....
Worth
by Anthony Brown & Group
You thought I was worth saving
So You came and changed my life
You thought I was worth keeping
So You cleaned me up inside
You thought I was to die for
So You sacrificed Your life
So I could be free
So I could be whole
So I could tell everyone I know
Hallelujah
Glory to God who changed my life
Forever
The lyrics were beautiful, the voice of the lead singer was rich and strong, as were the harmonious voices of the other choir members..... But the message was profound! Jesus thought I was worth saving. He thought I was worth keeping. He thought I was to die for!!! I was overwhelmed with the impact of this song.
I thought of when my parents became Christians. Jesus thought they were saving, and because they chose to live wholeheartedly for Him, I was introduced to Him at a young age. Then, when I felt His drawing, I surrendered. I repented, and was baptized in His lovely name, and received the Holy Ghost, speaking with other tongues. All because Jesus thought we were worthy of His salvation. We didn't think we were worthy, but He did.
I still feel the impact from that choir song, and my heart is still rejoicing with the reassurance that Jesus thinks I'm a keeper!! Rejoice today that He feels the same way about you!
God bless your Monday, making it truly marvelous!! I'll see you tomorrow for another spoonful if He is willing!
The choir sang this at the meeting Saturday... Powerful song.
ReplyDeleteI talked with yet another person last night at church who heard another choir sing it recently. Powerful song, indeed!
