Tuesday's Tidbit

Psalm 119:18

Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.

Good morning, family, friends, and foes (Do I have any of those? Who knows!!! LOL)

The above verse from Psalms has been on my mind for several days now. It's one thing to open our natural eyes and behold another new day, but what is truly awesome is when our spiritual eyes are opened and we "behold wondrous things out of thy law."

Beyond what my natural eyes are seeing right now, my desire is to behold so much more than that; to see Jesus at work in every part of my life. I want to see Him - The Extraordinary in the midst of my ordinary. The Splendid Savior at the center of my simple ways. The Marvelous Master overwhelming my mundane. I want to see Him at work, The Altogether Lovely One in contrast to the ugly issues in my life. Open my eyes, O Lord - I want to see YOU!

What my natural eyes are seeing right now is a long stretch of highway taking me from MO to my home in MS; but, what I really want to see is Jesus in my journey! I want to behold The Compass through this country.
