Monday's Moment

Mark 12:30

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

Good morning - and a Marvelous Monday to all of you!

Sunday is past but the memories of two great services linger on. Yesterday morning, the song leader began with this sweet chorus which I love, both the lyrics and melody:

With all my heart

With all my mind

With all my soul

With all my strength

I love You, Lord

You rescued me from sin and shame

You're my everything

I love You, Lord

The sweet spirt of the Lord flowed throughout the congregation as we continued to sing the chorus. The words penetrated deep into my spirit because I didn't want to just sing the words, I wanted to mean them - to love the Lord with all my heart, all my mind, all my soul, all my strength - with ALL of ME!! If I love the Lord with ALL of ME then, in return, I can expect and He will deliver - ALL of HIM!! 

Today is a great day because the Lord is with us, and He alone knows the plans that He has for us this day. May we embrace Him with all that is within us, spending time with Him whether by getting alone in prayer or thinking on Him throughout the day as we go about our daily work.

May this Monday be more marvelous to you than any other! Lord willing, I'll see you tomorrow for another spoonful.........
