Thursday's Thought

Hebrews 13:20

 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

Good morning, everybody!

Yesterday morning, as I was walking around the church gym, I decided to play some music from my iTunes. Now, normally, I would play one of the more upbeat songs as a means of stepping a little faster but yesterday I didn't do that. Instead, for my first selection, I played a beautiful hymn sung by Carman (I'll include the lyrics further down).

The words were soothing, uplifting, even though my golden oldies steps were moderate at best. I feasted on the words. "His name is Wonderful.... He's the Great Shepherd, the Rock of all ages... Almighty God is He...."  He's all that and more, and He's MY GOD! Jesus is not only all that and more... He's all that and more to ME! 

Jesus is worthy of all honor and glory for He is above all. He reigns. He is Sovereign and Supreme. Lord of lords and King of kings. I'm blessed to know Him. He is the dearest treasure to my soul.

May our thoughts this Thursday be centered on our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, the express image of the invisible God (Hebrews 1:3), and the One in whom dwells the fulness of the Godhead bodily (Colossians 2:9).
