Sunday's Specialty

Psalm 71:14

 But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more.

Good morning, and a Special Sunday to one and all!

HOPE - a small word with only four letters but it holds such a huge meaning! I like this one definition of hope: "the feeling that what is wanted can be had or that events will turn out for the best". 

The Psalmist David declares that he is going to "hope continually", in other words, he is going to keep on hoping, regardless of what is happening around him. In addition to hoping continually, he is going to "praise thee more and more." Can we find a better plan by which to live? Hope in the Lord continually, and praise Him more and more! We must make the effort to hope even when circumstances seem hopeless; as the definition indicates that we should have "the feeling that what is wanted can be had". Hope in God that all will turn out for the best!

While we're hoping for things to work out for our good in God, let's be praising Him more and more. Praise will bring our victory! Praise will cause what we hope for to come to pass. Our hope is our anchor; keeping us in place when the winds of life try to blow us around.

I can be glad for my hope is in the Lord

Cause He gives a confidence that this world doesn't know

He's the Lord of all creation

And whatever the situation

I'm glad for my hope is in the Lord

Sunday is the first day of the week, so let's start it out with a hope and a praise!!
