Wednesday's Whisper

Luke 21:27

And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

Good morning, and a Wonderful Wednesday it is!

Nothing gives a saint of God greater hope than to know that our Lord will return to this earth! One day, and it can't be very far away, we shall witness this great event. The Apostle Paul said it well, when he wrote to the church of the Thessalonians:

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18

¹⁶ For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

¹⁷ Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

¹⁸ Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

One minister told a story about an atheist coming to speak to a group of students. The auditorium was packed as they were required to sit and listen to this man talk about his belief that there was no God. Finally, one young lady could stand it no more, so she bravely stood up, and began to sing with all that was within her:

I shall know Him, I shall know Him

When redeemed by His side I shall stand

I shall know Him, I shall know Him

By the prints of the nails in His hands

She stood and sang alone for a little while, then one by one, the other students stood with her and joined her in song. What a mighty chorus of praise to the true and living God! The atheist could say no more, and left the platform.

Oh, yes, when Jesus returns, we that have been redeemed by His precious blood and filled with His Spirit - we will know Him!!! And, He will know us, His bride! I'm anticipating that great day. 

Live in expectation every day. Be still and hear the voice of Jesus whisper, "Behold, I come quickly, and my reward is with me......" (Revelation 22:12)
