Exodus 3:10-11
10 Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.
11 And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?Good morning.... we are alive to see another Marvelous Monday!!!!
A wonderfully blessed Sunday is already behind us, but the memory of the two services I attended are still fresh on my mind, and while they are, I want to share some precious things with all of you.
In the third chapter of Exodus, we find the story of Moses and the burning bush. In the verses that I chose to focus on this morning, we find the message from God to Moses - "I will send thee....." In other words, "Moses, I want to use YOU, to do MY work." Just an ordinary man, one who had fled after he had killed a man. Moses was just doing an ordinary job of tending his father-in-law's sheep. God wanted to use him?
Yes, God wanted to use Moses, with all of his faults and failures. God loves to use ordinary people, and as the sermon Sunday morning pointed out - ordinary people can be used by an extraordinary God!! That's such good news even thousands of years later. God can use US just like He used Moses, David, Peter, John..... and so many more!
It doesn't matter how young or old we are, how talented we are, or even how poor or how rich we are - the Mighty God can use mere mortals. His work needs to be done and we are the only ones to do His work here on earth. I want to be used of God, don't you? I want Him to guide me with His wisdom, and touch me so I can touch those around me.
Here's a sweet song, Ordinary People by the late Danniebelle Hall:
Just ordinary people
God uses ordinary people
He chooses people just like you and me
Who are willing to do as He commands
God uses people that will give Him all
No matter how small your all may seem to you
Because little becomes much
As you place it in the Master's hand
I rejoice today that the Magnificent God loves ME!!! I'm overwhelmed that He has chosen me to do something for Him, and I pray that you feel the same way. May your Monday be Marvelous as you live, breathe and work for the Mighty Master!!
Until tomorrow, Lord willing...................
