Sunday's Specialty

Hebrews 10:25

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Good morning, and a Special Sunday morning to you all!
Today, I am thankful for the church, a place to go at appointed times to pray, worship, sing, and hear a God-called minister deliver the Word of God. It truly is a sanctuary; a safe place; a haven. I love the church!
I love to meet and greet brothers and sisters in the Lord. During our travels, we have met many wonderful children of God, full of warmth and demonstrating His love. The church is a place of belonging, a family, where we all endeavor to walk in the Spirit.
Pre-church prayer is one of my favorite parts of church service for it's a time to seek God together for lost souls; for encouragement and strength; for Him to direct each service according to His will.
The singing, music, worship, praise, and preaching make our church services fulfilling. But, it all ends with the greatest satisfaction whenever a soul repents at the altar. In many of our services, we experience the joy of seeing someone baptized in the name of Jesus, and rejoicing with them as they receive the Holy Ghost!
Did I mention that I love church? Well, let me repeat, I love church! Whether in MS, LA, AR, MO, IL, TX, TN..... it's my favorite place to be!
Here's a song from long ago, but still true today:
Family of God
by Bill Gaither

Verse One
You will notice we say Brother
And Sister 'round here
It's because we're a family
And these folks are so near
When one has a heartache
We all share the tears
And rejoice with each victory
In this family so dear
Chorus
I'm so glad I'm a part
Of the family of God
I've been washed in the fountain
Cleansed by His blood
Joint heirs with Jesus
As we travel this sod
For I'm part of a family
The family of God
Verse Two
From the door of an orphanage
To the house of the King
No longer an outcast
A new song I sing
From rags unto riches
From the weak to the strong
I'm not worthy to be here
But, Praise God, I belong

It'll soon be church time here in Guy, AR, so I must close in order to get ready. God bless you all with the most special Sunday ever!
Lord willing, I'll see you again tomorrow.....
