Revelation 22:4-5
4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.
5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
Good morning, friends - A Marvelous Monday to you all!
After a weekend wherein the coming of the Lord was spoken about often, my mind is on heaven this morning. As you know by now, I often have a song on my heart early on each day, and this is the one that I feel to share with you; a beautiful song with a beautiful title - Special - by Carroll McGruder:
The Glory, the Honor, the Majesty on High
Is so very special - can't be seen by mortal eye.
For eye's not seen, and ear's not heard what Jesus has prepared.
Something very special is waiting over there.
For God has gone to prepare a very special place.
One where sin cannot abound and it's never known disgrace.
Jasper walls and gates of pearl - shining 'round the throne.
We call it special, the special call it Home.
A land of milk and honey, transparent golden streets;
A special land that can't be walked by ordinary feet.
No more nights to hinder - just rejoicing 'round the throne.
A special robe upon my back, we'll sing a special song.
A land of milk and honey, transparent golden streets;
A special land that can't be walked by ordinary feet.
No more nights to hinder - just rejoicing 'round the throne.
A special robe upon my back, we'll sing a special song.
Although many of us have heard about the coming of the Lord for many years, it is closer now than ever before. Christians are longing for that day, praying for that day. Not for the jasper walls nor the street of gold, but to see Jesus. And, once again, another old hymn comes to mind (written by Esther Kerr Rusthoi):
It will be worth it all when we see Jesus
Life's trials will seem so small
When we see Christ
One glimpse of His dear face
All sorrow will erase
So bravely run the race
'til we see Christ
Pause for a moment this Monday and remember that the life we live right now here on this earth will someday soon be history, and we will forever be with our Lord!
Until tomorrow, Lord willing........
