Friday's Footnote

Good morning, and thanks for stopping by, dear Reader-Friends!!

In looking at the definition for footnote, I discovered that it is a note or comment placed at the bottom of the page..... so I have saved something in that spot for you!!

John 6:9, 11

There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?

And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.

One small lad with one small lunch - not nearly enough to feed a multitude, yet what was relinquished into the hands of Jesus became blessed, broken and distributed. The little we may seem to have, when placed in the Master's hands, can also be blessed, broken, and used to help others. Our own abilities and talents must be surrendered in order for us to be a vessel He can work through.(1)

Revelation 19:9

 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

There is a painting that I have seen in several places throughout the years, and it is a favorite of mine. This painting depicts a table, beautifully set, in the skies. On the picture is a saying, "Come, for all things are now ready." I have never looked closely at the picture to see if there are place cards at each setting, but I believe there are because my name is on one of them! Oh, what a day that will be! Life as we know it will be gone forever; and all things will be made new! THAT'S the dinner I anticipate attending.(2)
