Psalm 118:23

This is the Lord's doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.

"Marvelous Monday."

A voice from the past but I can still hear the voice of the DJ on local radio station WTYL. His tone was always chipper, and it was easy to get caught up in his mood. Many refer to Mondays as blue, and for some folks, today may NOT be marvelous. I have friends who are dealing with grief, sickness, and other life-altering situations. While I like to put a lighthearted spin on different subjects, it is never my intent to downplay another's pain.

Today's Bible verse highlights what is truly marvelous - the LORD'S doing! What a privilege to know the One and Only Marvelous Master; Maker of all things; and to have a relationship with the Mighty and Majestic Magistrate.

He is:

the mercy that delivers us from the muck and mire of life

the merriment that overrides the melancholia

the music that drowns out the morose

So much more can be written about the Lord's doing, but since this is only supposed to be a "spoonful of tonic", I'd better close today's blog. I sincerely hope and pray that you experience a Marvelous Monday Moment!
