Good morning, one and all!

Happy 65th anniversary to my wonderful parents!! On February 5, 1951, at 4:00 PM, Casey Jones and Flora Derrick entered the courthouse in Iuka, MS, exiting ten minutes later as the new Mr. and Mrs. Casey Jones. It's hard to believe that 65 years have passed, but they have and by God's grace Dad and Mom are still with us today.

God has blessed them tremendously since their marriage, giving them two boys and a girl, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren (with the ninth due around April 7th). What a blessed family we are; how very good God has been to us.

Their love for each other, then their subsequent hunger and love for God in 1962 and 1963, gave us a firm home foundation. We were taught to love God and one another, to be faithful to church, to read our Bibles and pray, to be polite, to do our best.... so many wonderful treasures were put in us by our parents.

I am not with them in person today to celebrate, and how I wish I could be there. They mean the world to me. I am what I am today because of their love and training. May God bless them richly as they celebrate.... perhaps a little slower today than back in 1951, but with no less love and commitment!!
