Exodus 15:1-2
1Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the Lord, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the Lord, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.
2 The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him.
Good morning, and a Special Sunday it is!
The triumph of the children of Israel walking across the Red Sea as on dry land, as well as the ultimate destruction of Pharaoh and his army, had to have been something to experience. Moses and the children of Israel had a right to sing, and something to sing about! They sang unto the Lord for it was the Lord who performed everything for them.
They sang, "The Lord is my strength and song.... my salvation..." It must have sounded like a heavenly choir that day, as there were 600,000 men beside children (Exodus 12:37). I've never heard a choir like that in all my life.
What a song they sang that day, and its melody and lyrics continue until now, for we are still crossing Red Seas of our own in 2016. Of course, we're not facing a physical body of water, but we face what appear to be insurmountable mountains; trials of every shape and color. But, the Lord who was the strength and song of Moses and the children of Israel still lives today. He has never lost a battle nor will He ever lose one. He is as powerful now as He was back then.
Several of my friends are facing serious illnesses right now, and my prayers keep going up on their behalf, that God will heal them. When He does, I know they will give Him high praise. I can picture one of them grabbing a tambourine much like Miriam did long ago, and her song will be one of triumph unto the God who healed her! Faith says, "Let it be so, God!"

God bless us all with a Special Sunday, and it will be as we gather together in His sanctuary. He is a God of triumph... and only He knows the miracles that await us today!
