Acts 2:13-18King James Version (KJV)
13 Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.
14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:
15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.
16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
Good morning - Marvelous Monday Morning - to all of you!
First of all, I want to say "Happy Birthday" to my blog! On 2/1/15, I began my first Spoonful of Daily Tonic, and I am so happy that I have completed one year of daily blogging; something I have never done before! Thank You, Lord, for the inspiration to do this.
Now, that we have had our celebratory greeting, I want to share with you my Special Sunday. Yesterday morning, we had the most awesome Sunday morning service that I believe I have ever witnessed. It was another Day of Pentecost. Two received the Holy Ghost, and others were shouting, dancing, and several were really drunk on new wine. We did not leave the sanctuary until after 1:00 PM.
Sunday night, we returned and it began all over again. Worship was at an all-time high. The anointing was all over the singers, preachers, musicians, etc. We were truly sitting in heavenly places with the Lord yesterday. I'm still rejoicing over what an awesome day we had in the presence of the Almighty God.
I believe this song would be fitting on today's post:
This
is That
as
sung by Timothy Spell
Verse
One
On the day of Pentecost they were all in
one accord
Waiting for the promise of the Spirit of
the Lord
One hundred and twenty gathered in one
place
Fervently praying for the spirit of
grace
When suddenly there came a sound of a
rushing mighty wind
The Holy Ghost began to be poured upon
all men
Chorus
This is that, spoken by the Prophet Joel
This is that, spoken by the Prophet Joel
In the last days I’ll pour out my Spirit,
saith the Lord
Verse
Two
The crowds
began to gather,
Didn’t know just what to think
Some began to mock and say they’ve had
too much to drink
But Peter said, "These men are not drunk
as ye suppose."
He commenced to preach and then the well
began to flow
They cried out, “Men and brethren, what
shall we do?”
“Repent and be baptized, every one of
you.”
Verse
Three
It’s been two thousand years and the
wind’s still blowing
The rain’s still falling, and the well’s
still flowing
The promise hasn’t ended, you can’t
dispute the facts
The fire’s still burning, just like the
book of Acts
When He fills you with the Spirit,
You will speak with other tongues
That’s still the way the Holy Ghost
comes
I'm so very thankful for good church!! It makes Monday more marvelous!
Enjoy God today (not just on Sundays). Lord willing, I'll be back tomorrow with another spoonful!
