Wednesday's Whisper

Romans 4:18-22

18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.
19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb:
20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.

Good morning, Wonderful Wednesday morning!
God is working, even now. He is answering prayer. He is doing great things. I am amazed at His marvelous works!
The scriptures from Romans 4 are about Abraham; a man of faith, and a man referred to as a "Friend of God." (James 2:23) What a man! When there was no hope, he had hope. He held on to the promise of God that he was going to be "the father of many nations." His faith was not weak. Even though his body was aging, his faith was vibrant. His wife may have been past child-bearing age, but still Abraham believed that they were going to be parents.
His steps were sure; no staggering through unbelief. He was strong in faith, giving glory to God. His God had spoken and promised something special and Abraham was fully persuaded that God would perform.
May we hold to the promises that God has given us, walking surely and securely in Him.
This song was sung at church Sunday night. I hadn't heard it in a long time, and it is a true song.....
My God Can Do Anything
by Luther Barnes

Chorus
My God can do anything
My God can do anything
He's got the power, He's got the power
He's got the power, He's got the power
My God can do anything
My God can do anything

Verse One
He healed the sick and He raised the dead
Five thousand hungry souls He fed
He can make a way out of no way
Turned my darkness into day
My God can do anything
My God can do anything

Verse Two
Makes no difference what the problem
God is able, able to solve them
It is no secret what God can do
What He's done for others, He'll do it for you
My God can do anything
My God can do anything

Listen close for the whisper of The Wonderful today! He whispers peace, hope, love, joy, grace, mercy, miracles... and a whole lot more!
God bless you one and all!
