Psalm 71:16

 I will go in the strength of the Lord God: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only.

Good morning, everybody!

We stand on the brink of another Special Sunday and, with the Lord on our side, it will be special!!

Do you ever feel weak and somehow lack the confidence of doing the task in front of you? I would assume that all of us face the foe of insufficiency more than we care to admit. In reality, we cannot do the task in front of us in our strength alone. As our verse above states, "I will go in the strength of the Lord God...." It is in the strength of the Lord that we face each task with confidence.

Even the Apostle Paul, a man we think of as such a great man of God, penned these words: "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." (Philippians 4:13). If that great preacher and apostle understood that he was weak but Christ was strong, it gives me hope that I, too, can find the strength to meet each obligation or responsibility I have with confidence, as long as I understand where my strength really rests.

As we all prepare to attend service today, may we trust, depend and go in the strength of Jesus Christ! We are nothing without Him; but everything with Him and in Him!!
