Wednesday's Whisper

Psalm 46:10

Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

Good morning, everybody!

'Tis Wonderful Wednesday and right now, the sun is shining brightly here in Jackson, LA.

I have been quite perplexed of late at the busyness of life and people, especially church people. Sometimes it seems that individuals enter church services with leaving on their mind. We have come to see a very distracted generation.

Quite a few years ago, before iPads were ever invented or even iPhones, an email was circulated regarding a meeting between Satan and his imps. The overall theme of that supposed meeting was their evil scheme at making sure God's people became too busy. Too busy to pray. Too busy to fast. Too busy to give their best to God in any form or fashion. Sad to say, but we're witnessing Satan's plan being fulfilled before our eyes.

This song is on my mind today, and I feel it is God's message to us - to slow down a bit and remember who He is, and whose we are. When it's church time, if we could all just leave our cares at the altar, and give our undivided attention to the Lord during the short time we are gathered together in His name, we would see great things happen.

Be Still and Know
by The Guardians

Verse One

When problems in my life are a mystery
And I search to understand but cannot find His plan
Anywhere
And when I stop to listen
God faithfully whispers to my soul
The words that let me know
He is there

Chorus

Be still and know that I am God
No matter where you are
I'll be your Father
Forever
Be still and know that I am God
I will never forsake you
No never
Be still and know that I am God

Verse Two

Cast all your cares on Him for He cares for you
No matter what you face there is sufficient grace
For you today
And when you're lost and lonely
You are not alone
He is with you do not fear
Listen closely you can hear
Him gently say

Bridge

Be still, my soul,
The Lord is on my side
Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain
Cleave to thy God
To order and provide
In every change
He faithful will remain

The word "whisper" appears in verse one of this song. I pray that we really listen to God today. Slow down and listen to Him, so we can hear the words we need to hear being whispered to our souls.

God bless you all... hope to see you tomorrow!
