Monday's Moment

Deuteronomy 6:7

And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

Marvelous Monday, family and friends!!!
Yesterday evening, we arrived in McComb, MS, and soon after parking at a local church, our youngest son brought his two daughters (our granddaughters!) to see us. What a grand gift they are, the gift of grandchildren. These two, Demi (11) and Carli (8), spent the night with us. My heart was overwhelmed at the goodness of God to let me see them. Lots of laughter filled the motor home. What a sweet sound, that sound of children laughing!!!
When they were snuggled in their bed, we prayed together, and I used this rare moment to speak to them about the coming of the Lord. Moments like last night come so infrequently, and often I am overwhelmed with sadness at the fact that I cannot impact their lives as I'd like. But, God gave me that moment last night, and I lovingly spoke with them, hopefully dropping righteous seeds into their young hearts. O God, may they grow up to love YOU!!!
Society, the media, and even the public school system have set out with an evil agenda to teach our children and grandchildren that there is no God. Sports heroes and movie stars have become this world's stars. As several ministers mentioned in church yesterday morning, "Perilous times are here." It is now high time to bombard heaven on behalf of our little ones.
Madonna Massey wrote a beautiful song, If I Have Toand it is my prayer today and for the rest of my sojourn here on Planet Earth with regards to my children and grandchildren:
Verse One
I brought you into the world
I sheltered you from harm
When you were a baby girl
I'd rock you in my arms
I walked with you on your first day of school
When you were so afraid
And now this world is reaching for you
To lead your heart astray
Chorus
But I'll stay on my knees if I have to
I'll fight to the bitter end
I will not be defeated
'Cause I've put my trust in Him
So say what you please
I'll stay on my knees
Praying for you.... if I have to
Verse Two
Now as the years have gone by
I've loved to watch you grow
Sometimes you'd make me cry
I'm sure you did not know
That I only wanted what's best for you
Although you couldn't see
Now Satan's trying his very best
To steal you away from me

May God strengthen each mother and grandmother as they fight on their knees for those who are the nearest and dearest to their hearts!!
Until tomorrow, Lord willing.............
