Monday's Moment

Hebrews 11:1

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Good morning, everybody!
Marvelous Monday morning to you all! Today, I am blogging from Sulphur, LA, and the sun is shining. Praise God for the sunshine! We had two of the most awesome services yesterday, and I am still rejoicing in the great move of God that I feel here.
Last night, the pre-service prayer was so intense that it just took us on into the main service. We never left the altar area until almost dismissal time. When it was my husband's time to exhort, he encouraged people to believe for their lost loved ones. One particular woman, whose husband has been away from God for a long time, was weeping and worshipping. Faith was building in all our hearts - God is up to something positively mind-boggling.
After church, I spoke with the one lady and asked her how long her husband had been backslidden, and she told me 19 years. But, she shared with me a scripture that she is holding on to; one that gives her encouragement that he's coming back to the church. She pointed to five folded shirts, laying across different pews throughout the church. These shirts belong to the husbands of five wives. The shirts that have been placed where these ladies sit represent their faith that one day their husbands will sit right beside them again.
I was touched by this gesture, and decided to write about faith today. Faith says it's going to happen. Faith is something we hold on to even when there is nothing there to hold on to at the moment. It's believing in a God who can do anything but fail!!
Fasting and prayer are taking place in this local assembly this week, and we sense that revival is happening right now, right here. Miracles will take place and, in conjunction with the shirts placed in this church signifying the faith of women, I'd like to share this song today:
Miracle in Every Pew
by Karen Wheaton (or Karen Peck)??

Verse One
It's another Sunday morning
They walk in one by one
Living testimonies of what the Lord has done
Empty broken vessels only grace could fill
Countless mended hearts and lives only God could heal
Chorus
There's a miracle in every pew
One in me
One in you
We're all living proof
There's nothing God can't do
There's a miracle in every pew
Verse Two
There's one here that some would say
Simply beat the odds
But this family of believers know
It was the hand of God
There's a couple with a baby
The doctors said they'd never have
And several here who lost their way
But now are safely back
(Chorus again)
Bridge
They are all around us
Oh, if you only knew
The things our Father has brought His children through
You'll hear it in the voices as we sing His praise
And there's one behind the pulpit
That will speak to us today

There are already miracles in every pew but, by faith, more miracles will sit in our pews in the coming days, weeks, and months!!
God bless you as you move through this Marvelous Monday. Let us believe for the miracles we want to see. God's supply of miracles has never diminished.
Hope to see you tomorrow!!
