Thursday's Thought

Psalm 34:18

The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

Good morning, my dear readers!

The second week of our revival ended last night, and it ended with a powerful move of the Holy Ghost. People were praying in the altar as well as in their seats. Two ladies were baptized. It was truly awesome. There's nothing like being in the presence of our great God! Nothing can compare to it. Nothing so profound as watching God touch people.

I observed the broken ones who were being touched by God, as tears coursed down their faces. Tears are a language that God understands, and He is truly "nigh unto them that are of a broken heart..." He saves those "of a contrite spirit", too. Brokenness moves God into action. I truly believe He is compelled to save and to heal when He observes genuine tears. Jesus cares like no other, and His balm is the only healing agent that puts broken hearts back together.

I've been hearing this song for quite some time, and waiting for the right time to share it. It's been on my mind this morning, and today seems the best time to include it:

What sweet words - that we are never too broken to belong. When a soul finds Jesus, they find a home; they find peace, grace, mercy, and the greatest love ever known to mankind.
