Thursday's Thought

Luke 13:10-13

10 And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath.

11 And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.

12 And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.

13 And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.

Good morning, one and all!

Thankful for another Thursday morning to awaken! Happy to be alive and well. Grateful to know and serve a God who never fails; a true Specialist for whatever ails us.

My husband mentioned several times during his message last night about God specializing in hurting people. No matter the problem, God has the solution. No matter the question, He is still the Answer. At altar call, a man came and prayed, with tears streaming down his face, seeking after God. He told my husband afterwards, "You were talking to me tonight. My life is in a mess but you said God specializes in cases like mine." Oh, yes, God does!!

Whether it be an infirmity as the woman bowed together for eighteen long years, or a soul bowed low from the abuse of sin, God specializes in mending them. He can when no one else can. He is when others cease to be. His power surpasses all others. And, as my husband mentioned in his message, His love is greater than our hurt.

I awoke with a chorus on my mind (not sure of the artist); one from quite a few years back. There's still power in the name of Jesus!

In the name of Jesus

There's power to set you free

In the name of Jesus

There's glorious victory

Over sin, disease, and sickness

Power to walk in liberty

Through faith in His wonderful name!

Thankful, on this Thursday, to know the God who loves, mends, heals, and delivers! God bless all of you today, and I hope we're back together again tomorrow!
