Friday's Footnote

Philippians 2:15-16

15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

Good morning - Fabulous Friday, friends!!!
This is another day that the Lord has blessed us to see. While we do not know all that this day will hold, we have the privilege of seizing each moment and making the best of each one. The Lord is with us. He is in us, and He shines through us.
During prayer time before service Wednesday night, I was overwhelmed with gratitude as I remembered that the Lord Jesus Christ with all His power and might lives IN ME!!! What a power! Even as I write this, the impact is still there. Jesus lives in me through the power of the Holy Ghost; a power that helps me live victoriously!
Not only am I privileged as other born again Christians to have the Holy Ghost within for the sake of living above sin, but I have been given this power to be a witness. The Apostle Paul wrote in Philippians Chapter Two that we "shine as lights in the world... holding forth the word of life..." The Holy Ghost is more than just a comforter and a power for living, it is a light burning so bright inside that it radiates to the outside.
One of my deepest desires is that when I walk among the world that others will see Jesus in me. I want my attitude and demeanor to portray Him. God forbid that I would have within me His power yet demonstrate an unpleasantness to those around me. My prayer is: O God, help me shine brightly with YOUR light!
The Talley Trio sings a beautiful song that fits so well with today's blog post:
When Anyone Looks at Me
by Geron Davis

Chorus
When anyone looks at me
Let them see Jesus
Let me be a reflection
Of His love and mercy to them
When they start to read my life story
I want it to bring my Savior glory
When anyone looks at me
Let them see Him
Verse One
I'm not looking for fortune,
And I'm not seeking for fame
I'm not so concerned
That all the world knows my name
But I am consumed with one passion
To share what the Lord's done for me
And I want my life
To shine with His light
So all those around me can see!
Verse Two
Every good and perfect gift that I possess
Was sent from the Father above
Give thanks for the way
That I've truly been blessed
I'll open my heart
And give to the world His love
Oooooooooooh

As we go along our way today, let's be mindful that many around us do not know the Lord, and to them we are the only Jesus that they will ever see. May He be seen in all we do, and everywhere we go, and to all whom we meet!
Trusting you all have a Fabulous Friday with our Faithful Father.... Lord willing, I'll see you tomorrow.....
